"A fantastic duo...so watchable and funny in their own right."

PARTS THEATRE COMPANY- "An imaginative reflection of lock-down. Very impressed with the collaboration and creativity of the performers to launch this new piece of work."

DO DO DRAMATICS - Theatre and Puppetry- "Hilarious- we could not stop laughing at the strangeness and absurbity of the characters that came to life. More please of other historical tales!"

AMELIA STEPHENSON- Stand-up comedy session. "Amelia is a natural comedian, her timing and pauses to create tension kept us hanging onto her words with the life story of Caligula."

NANA CHARACTERS - Theatre- "I haven't laughed so much for ages! Another take on PPE never to be forgotten. Absolutely brilliant- if you come across the NaNa Characters in the street all I can say is...watch out!"

ZARA - Stand-up comedy session."If this is Zara's first time at doing stand-up she completely smashed it! Her take on the inhabitants of Chi was at times too near to the truth but we have to be able to laugh at ourselves :) Amazing performance, more please!"

NEWS THAT MADE IT ALL POSSIBLE...

Katie Bennett

and

Josh Bowness

founding producer

presenter

Chichester Free Fringe is making its debut this June, showcasing creative talent in a series of live broadcasts!

The 3-day online event will be hosted as part of this year’s Festival of Chichester from 16th - 18th June and will see a number of performers and creatives take to the stage, including comedians, musicians and puppeteers.

The broadcast will be hosted by two Chichester High School Alumni:

live from the historic Vicar’s Hall at Chichester Cathedral.

Katie:

“During a period when people have not been able to perform, Chichester Free Fringe will give performers a safe place to explore, develop and share their acts with the world. We hope that the Fringe will be a sustainable event, and will continue to give a platform to creatives on the fringe of our amazing area”.

Barry Smith, Festival of Chichester Co-ordinator:

“We are delighted that Chichester Free Fringe will form part of this year’s programme of events.

It’s an exciting development showcasing new and different performers on a digital platform accessible to many more people than can attend live events. For this first festival year after lockdown, the virtual free fringe fits perfectly into the main festival as it means that the first week eases us in with a programme of largely outdoor and virtual events as a taster for our audiences for the main body of the festival to follow.”
