What you need to know

About the show:

An evening of singing, both acapella and accompanied, with a couple of seasonal readings as the South Downs Folk Singers portray the turning year in the traditional songs of the South Downs.

About the artists:

The South Downs Folk Singers began life in 2013 at the end of a Heritage Lottery Fund project managed by the South Downs Society, about the heritage and songs of the South Downs.

The SDFS is not a formal choir but a joyful group of singers from across the South Downs who sing songs from or about the life and times of the area, as they may have been sung in homes, at work and for recreation in the past.
