About the show

This event is a combined showing of four brand new plays:

  • The Fountain of Youth by Jack Stone - A performance that absolutely does not address adult views on childhood. Definitely not.
  • A Deceit of Dying Flowers by Kitchen Sink Productions - A gritty and cutting drama about love, lust and the consequences of control in a relationship.
  • Upsurge by Emma True - A spoken word physical theatre piece, exploring one woman's place in the world.
  • Still Game by Steven Finley - A gambling addict learns to face his demons through the help of an unexpected friend.

Each individual ticket gets you access to all four pieces - that's £3 per show!

Jack Stone: Having studied for four years at the University of Chichester and taken two dives into fringe theatre (both having showed at previous Chichester Fringe Festivals), I am now developing my third show. I've been adoring the process of making solo theatre and the space that Fringe is allowing me to explore it.

Kitchen Sink Productions: Kitchen Sink Productions is a theatre company based in Chichester, led by a collective of artists who are committed to making art with and for non-traditional spaces, places and communities across the UK.

Emma True: Emma True is an actress, filmmaker, and spoken word artist. Her writing explores themes of mental health, nature, relationships and our place in the world. She believes our greatest struggles can also be the greatest inspiration for creativity, and enjoys sharing stories through self-penned short films and performance. From a young age, she has acted on stage, in films, and in television series, winning a BAFTA award, and being presented with a TryAngle Award for her contribution to the arts. Her enjoyment for writing led her naturally into a merging of both - and into the world of spoken word. Emma is the resident poet for She Lives Collective, and can be found featuring at live scratch nights and on BBC Radio. Discover more of her work on socials: YouTube as Emma True / Instagram as @ejtrue / Facebook as Emma True Actress/Spoken Word. Upsurge is her first one-woman show.

Jasmine Ricketts, the movement director of UPSURGE:

Jasmine is a Movement Director, Choreographer, Director and Facilitator. After graduating from the University of Exeter with a BA in Drama, Jasmine went on to study an MA in Choreography at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. She has also received training from New Adventures Dance Company, Gecko Theatre, Central School of Speech and Drama, and is currently in training with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators. Working across theatre, opera, film and community spaces, Jasmine's highlighted credits include: Captain Blood’s Revenge (Into Opera); Rain and Zoe Save the World (Jermyn Street Theatre); Venus and Adonis (Blackheath Halls Opera); Eugene Onegin (Buxton International Festival); Paul Bunyan (ENO); The Day After (ENO).

Steven Finley: (About the show 'Still Game') Steven is a gambler from the South Coast of England. When he meets Linda in a betting shop, he embarks on a journey of self-discovery to a cave in Scotland where Steven searches his memories to overcome his gambling tendencies.
