Through her beautiful melodies, mesmerising vocals, bittersweet lyrics and fluid keys-playing Hannah draws you into her rich inner landscape. It is a terrain scattered with keenly observed detail, open-hearted vulnerability, and a profound awareness of light and shadow. For Hannah songwriting represents solace, connection and survival.
In 2020 and at the lowest point in her life, Hannah changed her Facebook job description to 'Singer Songwriter ' and moved her dusty untouched-for-years old keyboard out of the loft and into her bathroom - a room with a view and a door she could lock. With as yet not one word on paper, she began writing songs and sharing them on social media.
Once she started she couldn't stop. It was a full year before she found the courage to go to her first open mic but she held onto the conviction that had led her to start singing and writing in the bathroom and began her live performance journey, continuing to write prolifically. As a result she has spent the past year playing gigs and festivals, growing an online following, investing her time and creative energy into local live music, and collaborating with a host of talented fellow musicians.
She was selected to perfect her song 'Downstream ' for episode 3 of 'Lonely Road Picture Show ', a YouTube channel dedicated to showcasing live acoustic recordings of musicians from the UK and Ireland. A restless writer with thoughts that run a mile a minute, Hannah processes the world through song. Her music is the expression of the breathings of her heart and of her quest for connection.
