Twenty new comedians will compete in this year's Chichester Fringe New Act of the Year 2023 to get a gig at Epic Comedy.
Epic Comedy are proudly collaborating with Chichester Fringe to provide an excellent opportunity for new acts to perform in a supportive space, with the chance of winning a spot on one of Epic Comedy’s professional shows.
Epic Comedy bring the very best of comedic talent to your local area, with comedy nights across six venues in West Sussex, Hampshire and Dorset, and this is your chance to perform with them.
If you’re an up-and-coming comedian that:
Has less than five years experience on the comedy scene
Has ten minutes of your own material to perform (with heats in 5 minute sets and the finals in 10 minutes sets)
Are from or live in Sussex, Hampshire, Dorset or Surrey
And are available for performances in Chichester on 7th or 8th June, and 14th and 15th June 2023…

How to apply
To apply for Chichester Fringe New Act of the Year 2023, you need to:
Create a short video of you performing stand-up comedy

How does the competition work?
The competition will be run over two heats (7th and 8th June) and one final (14th June), with the winner performing at the professional Chichester Fringe show on 15th June alongside some of the top names on the UK comedy circuit. The winner will also receive a trophy.
Only twenty applicants will be chosen to perform, so brush off those one-liners or hilarious anecdotes and send your video in now! Applications are ongoing so get yours in as soon as you can.
